Project Scope/Planning 101

The Counselling Foundation of Canada has developed a narrated PowerPoint presentation that provides insight into some considerations to think about when designing a program or project to address a social problem. This fifteen-minute presentation uses a fictional case study to touch upon the following themes:

  • Convincing others that an intervention is required as well as proving that your proposed solution is needed.
  • Testing your initiative‚Äôs effectiveness in the planning stage.
  • Factors to consider to ensure that your initiative is efficient.
  • Identifying the deal-makers and deal-breakers that funders look for.

The presentation also explains how a Theory of Change and Logic Model Diagram can be used to simplify the planning process. A resource page is provided at the end of the presentation to help you find out more about these topics.
